"Me Before You" by Jojo Moyes - Book Review

"Push yourself. Don't settle. Just live well. Just live."

This is just one of the many amazing quotes that have stuck with me since finishing Me Before You by Jojo Moyes. It's a reminder that you should never settle for anything in life. Really live your life.

Will Traynor was anything, but ordinary. He had an incredible job and enjoyed sky diving, climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, basically anything to get his adrenaline going. He rarely spent his holiday's and downtime relaxing. It was all about the adventure and really living life. Until one day he is in an accident and left a quadriplegic.

How does someone who can know longer do anything for themselves still realize that life is worth living?

That's the ultimate question, and Will's parents hire Louisa Clark to keep Will company during the day. It turns into much more than that. Lou learns of Will's intentions and wants nothing more than for him to realize that life is still worth living. That no matter what life throws at him, he is still capable of the life he had before - just with some modifications.

Lou and Will go through a roller coaster of situations and emotions. Ultimately learning that it's your life and your decision on how to live it.

This book was beautiful. There are only a handful of books that I feel I've read that really resonate with me. That really make me think and remind me of the beautiful life I have. This book is a reminder that no matter what life throws at us, whether it be an accident leaving us to have to rely on other people to do daily tasks, or the death of a close family member, it [life] is still a beautiful thing

We all have so much to live for. We just have to surround ourselves with the right people who are going to bring us up, not tear us down.

"Push yourself. Don't settle." Don't settle for a career you don't enjoy. Don't settle for sub-par relationships. Don't settle for lack of adventure. Don't get too comfortable. Push yourself. Great things can only happen if you push yourself.

Overall, I give this a total of 5/5 stars for make me feel and really understand that even though I may not agree with the decisions people make in their lives, it is their life. And also how we should all be living life each day to the fullest.
